Marein Regulates Insulin Resistance in Diabetic Nephropathy Mice by Inducing Autophagy

Marein is the main active substance of Coreopsis tinctoria nutt. It not only has anti-oxidation and anti-tumor effects, but also can lower blood lipid, prevent high glucose, improve insulin resistance, inhibit gluconeogenesis promote glycogen synthesis. However, exact mechanism its action still unclear. Here, we explored effect on resistance. The mice were divided into db/m, db/db, metformin+db/db, marein+db/db groups. body weight kidney recorded. Serum biochemical renal function tests measured after 8 weeks continuous administration. Kidney tissues subjected to HE staining, PAS Masson staining. marein PI3K/Akt signal autophagy pathway was detected by Western blot. After intervention, did change significantly, fasting glucose lipid levels significantly reduced than db/db group. improved resistance index, increased serum adiponectin metabolism disorders mice. Moreover, basement membrane thickness glomeruli tubules, glomerular sclerosis tubular fibrosis, as well insufficiency, thereby protecting delaying pathological damage. Furthermore, expression PI3K phosphorylation Akt/Akt (Ser473), promoted LC3II/I, Beclin1 ATG5. Additionally, it FGFR1 in mice, increase FGF21 FGF23. a protective kidneys diabetic protects nephropathy regulating IRS1/PI3K/Akt signaling Therefore, may be an sensitizer.
